• How does the service work?

  Choose your items from our list of accepted brands, submit your request online, and choose between a free pickup or drop-off. We’ll handle the rest – from authentication to pricing. Once approved, your items will be listed on Reflaunt’s global resale network, reaching over 300 million buyers. When they sell, you can choose cash or enjoy 20% more with Lord & Taylor Credit.

• Which items can I resell through Resell on Lord & Taylor?

  We accept ready-to-wear clothing, shoes, bags, and jewellery in brand-new, excellent, or very good condition. To ensure a smooth resale process, please make sure your items are freshly cleaned and free from stains, damage, or significant alterations. You don’t need to have purchased the item from Lord & Taylor – we welcome pieces from your broader wardrobe, as long as they belong to our pre-approved brand list and meet our quality standards.

• What is the Instant Reward option?

  For select models of bags, you may be eligible for an Instant Reward – this means you can receive Lord & Taylor Credit right away, even before your item sells.

  To see which models qualify, you can check the eligibility list here. Once your item arrives at our facility and passes the authenticity check, you'll receive a pricing proposal outlining both the Instant Reward and traditional consignment options, so you can choose the one that suits you best.

• What are my payout options?

  When your item sells, you can choose to receive your payout either as Lord & Taylor Credit, with an added 20% bonus on top of your payout amount, or bank transfer – sent directly to your account.

  For certain in-demand bags and sneakers, you may also qualify for an Instant Reward in the form of Lord & Taylor Credit. If eligible, you’ll receive this reward upfront – before the item sells – once it passes our authenticity check. You’ll be able to select your preferred option when you receive your pricing proposal.

• How do you set the price of each item?

  We use an algorithm that considers real-time market demand, trends, and the condition of your item to determine the best possible resale value.

  Before anything goes live, you’ll receive a pricing proposal showing what you could earn.
  This amount is your final payout that you will receive in your pocket – net of all fees, shipping, and duties already taken care of.

• What is your commission fee?

  Our commission is a flat 10%. Before we list your item, we show you the net payout you’ll receive – no hidden fees, ever. 

  To determine the listing price shown across our resale network, we add shipping, a reduced marketplace fee negotiated by Reflaunt, operational costs, and our commission on top of your payout. This full amount is paid by the buyer, not deducted from your earnings.

  Our model is designed to help top-selling items sell quickly. For others, we may occasionally adjust the payout to make the price more competitive and increase the chances of finding a buyer. For more details visit our FAQ.

• What happens if my items are not approved for resale?

  If your item is not approved for resale, we will inform you via email. You can reach out to our Concierge team to request a return with a fee of $15 per item, capped at $45 per shipment. Request a return via resell@lordandtaylor.com
